Best buddies for life

Since I am having withdrawals, I frantically went looking through the pics on my computer to find one to post. I found one that I meant to post last week and I forgot all about it. I was sitting on the grass petting Apollo when he stuck his paw in my hand and just kept it there. I just happened to have my camera around my neck so I snapped a picture of it. He's such a lovable big kitty puppy!!!

Fuck it...

I gave up on looking so I just ordered a new one online. One of the dogs probably ate it and I'm going to see a long cable coming out of one of their asses in the next day or two...haha

It may be a while without pictures :(

Ok, so my DUMBASS lost the cord that connects from my camera to the laptop to transfer the pictures. We were cleaning the house for our Father's Day bash and I clearly remember putting the cord somewhere I never put it before. I remember because I told myself to REMEMBER that I put it there. Now, do you see where the dumbass part comes in??? I'm off from work today so my goal is to tear the house apart until I find it. I have pics to post of the completed dining room and of course the Daddy's Day bash so I'm dying to find it. Cindy, of course, is being a great help because she keeps asking questions like...did you put it in a candle? Did you put it in the washing machine? What about the dryer? For the record, I'm not that much of a dumbass!!! So, as soon as I find it you all will be blessed with loads of pictures!!!

Also, I had a weird dream last night that I just had to share...Apollo was a cat (don't worry he still had the huge ears) and he kept biting everyone so we had to give him away. I was so sad when I woke up :( But, luckily I still have my little kitty puppy and he hasn't been biting anyone!

Anyway, my booty has to get going because I have to get the pool water tested YET again, I have to find my cord, and then I have homework to do. I'll keep you guys posted WITH or WITHOUT pictures!!!

Painting

We just finished doing a sample wall of the colors that we picked out for the dining room. Last night I was a little bit worried because the color that we picked for the top looked too much like a mustard color. I was concerned because we picked out brick red for the bottom, so I didn't want it to be a big joke that we have a ketchup & mustard dining room. After we did the sample wall I am VERY satisfied with the choice of colors. The top color turned more of a gold color and I think its going to look awesome when its done. Plus, the oil painting that I picked out a long time ago matches so well with the wall colors. Let me know what you guys think so far...

Adorable picture

Ok, so I just had to post this picture. This is Apollo and Sammie playing tug-o-war. Sammie is Cindy's parents dachshund...he only weighs like 10 lbs compared to Apollo's 69 lbs. Don't let his 10 lbs. fool ya though cuz that dog is a BAD-ASS!!!

And...for the record...Miss Cynthia got up at 6am this morning and started painting. I slept until 9:30am so I have to give her tons of credit! Her parents are coming over again tonight so hopefully we can all get the dining room done tonight :) Here is a pic of Cindy painting the trim this morning and here is a pic of Apollo PASSED out because he got up at 6am with Cindy. You would think that he was helping her paint by how tired the poor pup is!

One last thing...we have added the majority of the chemicals over the last two days and we should be finished adding them today. So, there is a chance that the pool will be ready by Sunday. I'll keep everyone posted so that you guys know if you should bring your swimwear! Muah!!!

Possible bad news

So, as most of you know, Cindy and I expected to have the pool opened this weekend for the Father's Day BBQ. Fortunately, it is supposed to be chilly weather because it is highly possible that the pool won't be opened by then. The water was cloudy and we still couldn't see into the deep end so I took the water to get tested, yet again, at a different pool place. I walked out of the pool place, $150 later, with two boxes FULL of algaecide, calcium, conditioner, and 25lbs of some other stuff that we have to put into the pool over the next few days. So, if the water doesn't clear up I doubt anyone would want their kiddies swimming in it, unless you want them to grow a third leg. It looks pretty good in this picture, but Cindy vacuumed and swept the sides after this picture so it got a LOT more green!!!

As for the dining room, Cindy's parents have come over the last two nights to help us prime the walls (last night) and paint the trim (tonight). It is looking very good and I'm so excited that our dining room is close to being finished. Cindy and I are going to paint during the day tomorrow and then Cindy's parents are coming over again tomorrow night to help us paint some more. That's Cindy looking kinda tipsy and showing the primer that got on her hands.

Apollo went to the vet today to get his rabies shot and his yearly exam. The good news is that he got two shots and he had blood drawn and he didn't even flinch. He was wagging his tail the whole time as if he didn't even notice that needles were being jabbed into his body. That's my boy!!! The bad news is that our poor baby had an ear infection. They had to give us cream to rub into his ear twice a day for a week. We got him weighed and the boy weighs 69 lbs!!! Our baby is becoming a man!!! Below, I took pics of Jolie and Apollo sportin' my Red Sox visor. It sounds funny but Jolie LOVED it!!! She was sitting on the chair, looking out the window like she was the biggest pimp. I took about 10 pictures of her with the visor on. Apollo, on the other hand, hated it so I could only get 2 pics of him.

Our neighbors still suck ass! They keep parking their minivan out in front of their house, so I cannot see at all when I'm backing out of the driveway. If my little orange car gets hit backing out of our driveway, I am going to go over there and beat their ignorant, TV stealing, tree-climbing asses!

That's all for now. I'll keep you guys posted. Love you all :)

Wazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzup!!!!

Hey everyone, so here's the deal...my Mom called me up the other night and pressured me into starting a blog since Stacey and Robin both have one. Originally, I said it was impossible because I never have any free time. However, lucky for my Mom that Cindy and I are on vacation this week. So, I decided to keep everyone posted on the work we have done to the house over our vacation. After this week, I'll try to post a blog once a week.

Yesterday, Cindy's parents came over and we finished taking the wallpaper off the dining room walls. The dining room was probably the hardest thing we've done so far because not only did that wallpaper LOOK like hell, but it was hell to take off. After the paper was off, we sanded the walls and then Whitey (Cindy's Dad), filled in the holes and cracks with compound. Later this week we are going to wash the walls, prime them and start painting. Our goal is to have the dining room done by Father's Day.

Today, we got up pretty early and started working on the pool. Its finally filled up with water so we shocked it last night and started the filter this morning. I took a water sample to the pool place to have it tested and I had to shock it again and add PH to it. It's looking better so hopefully we'll be able to swim in it in the next day or two. We also set up a netted gazebo in the backyard and put the patio set inside of it. We also got a few garden figures to add to the backyard scenery. Below are the pool, the gazebo, Wilbur the Pig and our Froggies...

So, things are coming along pretty well. Jolie and Apollo are enjoying having their two mommies home for a whole week. Here are the two pups themselves!!!
