WORLD CHAMPS 2007!!!

Wow, so the last few weeks have been extremely exhausting. I'm pretty sure that every Red Sox fan is physically, mentally, and emotionally drained. However, it was worth every freakin' minute because we got the trophy!!!!

Yesterday was just a amazing day for me. Cindy and I got up around 11, had breakfast and took the dogs for a walk around D.W. Field. When we got back to the house there was a message on our voicemail from a dog shelter saying that she wanted to speak with us about a dog we applied for. Her name is currently Sarah, she is a boxer mix, 12 weeks old, and only 10 pounds. She was rescued from a rural high-kill shelter and she is currently in a foster home in Tennessee. She is being brought to Massachusetts next Wednesday and pending a house check, she will be all ours by Friday!!! We are going to name her Jacoby, after Jacoby Ellsbury. Yes, I am well aware that Jacoby is a boy's name, but #1 I like the name and #2 who cares if a girl has a boy's name? After we got that news, Cindy took me to Best Buy to get a brand new computer for my birthday.

We came home, made dinner, and had some friends over for the Sox game. Of course, the Sox won the World Series and just made my day complete. Now, I will be HIGHLY pissed off if the Sox do not sign Mike Lowell and decide to attempt to sign A-Rod instead. So, the Sox better do the right thing and sign their World Series MVP!!!

ALCS Game 7

Cindy and I decided to have a Red Sox bash on Sunday night. We had Matt, Stacee, her husband, and her kids over. Of course, I insisted that everyone put on Red Sox gear. Since I have enough Red Sox shirts for a small army, I ran upstairs, got all my shirts, and forced everyone to put them on.

I got really nervous when the Sox were up 3-2 so I decided to bust out my cookie tradition. I started it back in 2004 and I swear that it works. Basically, everyone gets a chocolate chip cookie. You have to hold the cookie in your mouth until the Red Sox score a run. It sounds crazy, but as soon as we put those cookies in our mouths, the runs started coming!!!

Tonight our neighbors Shelley & Dana are coming over so we are going to be having some more Red Sox fun! Go Red Sox! Rock those Rockies!!!

Baby Apollo

I found this video of our baby boy when he was only 3 months old. We were both cracking up so we just had to share it. The sound that you hear is Apollo growling at a bone...haha...I want another puppy!!!

Tracey's Wedding

Saturday night, Cindy and I went to Assonet, Massachusetts to Cindy's cousin's wedding. We had lots of fun but I was having major Red Sox withdrawals. So many people, men and women, were checking their cell phones for updates on the Sox score. When we left the wedding at 11:30, the game was tied 6 t0 6. We got home, changed into our Red Sox gear, and started watching the game. Apparently, Terry Francona has been smoking too much crack because he decided to put Eric Gagne into the game in the top of the 11th, with the game still tied 6 to 6. Eric "Gag Me" Gagne completely wrecked the game and started the Indians scoring frenzy. The Indians ended up kicking our asses 13 to 6. So, we are going into the game tomorrow night, with the series tied 1 to 1 and Dice K Matsuzaka is going to be pitching for the Sox. We are having some more people over tomorrow night, so hopefully we are going to knock the feathers off the Indians' heads!!! Go Red Sox!
Here are some pictures from the wedding. The first picture above is of the happy couple, Tracey and David.

Sox game pictures

Friday night Cindy and I had some friends over for the first ALCS game. Our neighbors Shelley & Dana, our friend Steph, Cindy's parents, and Cindy's brother Paul and nephew Matt came over to watch the game. I'm happy to say that the Sox kicked ass and won 10-3. Unfortunately, the Indians got revenge and whooped our asses 13-6 the following night. Here are some pictures from Friday night.

Still a bunch of IDIOTS! (even without Johnny Damon and Kevin Millar)

The one thing that I have always loved about the Red Sox is the personality of the whole team. From the time when the team tied Pedro Martinez to a pole, to Manny Ramirez hiding in the Green Monster, the Red Sox always know how to make us laugh. On Friday night, after the Red Sox won the American League East, the Sox closer, Jonathan Papelbon, showed up on the field in his tight black undies to do his version of the Riverdance. He got Youkilis, Lopez, and a few others to join in on the dancing action. This is a fearless team, who is not afraid to do anything! This is the team that is going to win the World Series! Something tells me that my Mom probably wants to take Jonathan Papelbon after seeing him in those hot, tight undies!
